How to Access Kyoto

The nearest airports to come to Kyoto are Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Osaka Itami Airport(ITM). Osaka Itami is a domestic airport. Visitors can easily reach Kyoto by bus or train transportation from these two airport. Although KIX is an international airport, lager hub airports in Japan are Tokyo-Narita Airport (NRT) and Tokyo-Haneda Airport (HND). Many people may take a flight for Tokyo from their home country, and then take a domestic connection to KIX or ITM. The flight between Tokyo and KIX/ITM takes only 1 hour. Some visitors may stay in Tokyo or the other places for extra days just before or after the Congress. In such a case, High-speed train called "Shinkansen" offers a comfortable journey to come to Kyoto.

How to Access the Congress venue (Map of Kyoto)

JR train "Haruka" from Kansai International Airport (KIX) or Airport Shuttle Bus from Osaka Itami Airport (ITM) takes you to the Kyoto railway station. The Congress venue (ICC Kyoto) is located 20 minutes ride by the Subway Karasuma Line (green line in the Map) from Kyoto railway station.
Accommodations located along the Karasuma Street are convenient because the Subway Karasuma Line serves direct access to the Conference Center within 15 min.
